What do I need on my final?
Type your grade now and how much the final is worth. You'll see the score you need for each grade, worked out on this page. Nothing is saved.
Weighted grade calculator
Don't know your grade now? Most syllabi split it into categories, each worth a share. Type each category's weight and your average in it; leave the average empty if nothing's graded yet. For individual scores, dropped grades and what-if, use the grade calculator.
Coursebird

Questions
How is the grade I need on the final worked out?
Your final grade is your current grade times the share of the class that's already graded, plus your final exam score times the final's weight. Solving that for the final exam score gives: needed = (target − current × (1 − weight)) ÷ weight. With a current grade of 85%, a final worth 25% and a target of 90%, you'd need 105%, so an A isn't reachable, but an 80% target needs 65%.
What if my class drops the lowest grade?
Drop it before you type your category score: average the scores that still count. Coursebird does this for you, reading the drop rule from your syllabus.
Why doesn't this match my school's grade page?
Your school's grade page can count ungraded work as zero, or leave out categories with nothing graded yet, depending on how your professor set it up. This calculator only counts categories you've given a score, so it shows your grade on what's been graded so far.
Does it save what I type?
No. Everything is worked out on this page, and nothing is sent or stored.
